In your own words, what should international organizations, civil society and youth groups do to ensure climate negotiations reflect children’s opinions, needs and experiences?
Children and Young People’s Views on Climate Action
Written by:
UNICEF Afghanistan
This U-Report poll will gather young people’s voices, opinions and ideas on climate change, climate education and youth participation in Afghanistan. The poll will help UNICEF better understand what young people know, what support they need to take climate action, and what they believe should be prioritised to protect children and communities from climate-related risks.
The responses will inform UNICEF Afghanistan’s climate advocacy, including COP31-related engagement, and support efforts to ensure that children’s and young people’s perspectives are reflected in climate decision-making. Findings will be shared in an aggregated and non-identifiable format through U-Report, UNICEF communication channels and relevant advocacy products.
No personal stories, names or identifying details will be collected or shared. The poll findings will be used as indicative feedback from U-Reporters and will not be presented as representative of all young people in Afghanistan.
